Arletta R. Howell, 74, of Waterford died Sunday at Memorial Medical Center, Modesto. Mrs. Howell was a native of Oregon. She lived in Waterford five years and previously lived in Ceres. She was a retired registered nurse and a member of St. Jude's Catholic Church, Ceres. She enjoyed writing. She is survived by her husband, Larry Bilyeu of Waterford; children, Myron Standish of Waterford, Dennis Standish of Grants Pass, Ore., Anne Decarsky and Karen Andrews, both of Hayward, Danny Standish of Danville, Kevin Standish of Tracy, Brian Standish of Pleasanton, Dale Standish of Snohomish, Wash., Gary D. Standish of Ripon and Diane Rodrigues of Dublin; brother, Harold Diehl of Portland, Ore.; and 22 grandchildren and10 great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Monday at St. Jude's Catholic Church. Private burial. PL. Fry &Son Funeral Home, Manteca, in charge of arrangements.
